OUR PURPOSE:

Moms in Prayer is a worldwide ministry, serving in more than 140 countries. The vision of Moms in Prayer is that every school in the world would be covered with prayer. Moms in Prayer impacts children and schools worldwide for Christ by gathering mothers to pray. Moms in Prayer at APC is a branch serving APC and Bergen County NJ. If a mother is looking for a group in Bergen County, they may be referred to our group.

Praying together for our children has been a great joy for those of us in Moms in Prayer. We have had many answers to prayer, and it is a privilege to witness these unfolding blessings. We rejoice together over God’s victories!

WHAT TO EXPECT:

Each week we have a different attribute of God to focus on. Some of these include: God is the Builder, God is Faithful, God is our Encourager, God Sustains. We read short passages from the Bible demonstrating these attributes, and we praise God for them. Next, we silently confess our sins to God. Then, each of us thanks God for what he has done the last week that we are grateful for. After this we have intercessional prayer for our children. The first mother will pray for her child or children. Then, each other mother in a small group will pray for that child, one at a time. Then, the next mother will pray for her child, and the sequence of prayer is repeated, until all children are prayed for.

We pray for individual teachers, if that is desired, and for the childrens’ schools, for instance, that they are protected from evil, or for any individual needs. What is prayed in the group, stays in the group.

Our mothers experience the joy of praying in a group, in one accord, for their children and schools. They have the support of the group all week long. As we get to know each other and our families, we draw closer, and keep them in prayer. We develop intimacy as a group, and great support from our heavenly father and each other. “Wherever two or more are gathered in My name, I am in the midst.”

WHAT’S NEXT:

We would like to see more mothers from APC join our group, particularly Sunday School mothers. It is a loving oasis in your week!
