“Prayer meetings are the throbbing machinery of the church.”
Every Sunday, before the worship service, we open up the Fireside room for a time of “Boiler Room” prayer with Pastor Bizdikian and other participants of the worship service. This harkens back to the days of C. H. Spurgeon who would often declare that the power of his ministry came from the Lord answering the prayers of those praying for him in the boiler room of the church. The work of ministry and its effectiveness is not determined by the number of board members on this committee or that, nor is it directly proportional to the number of hours put in by the pastor. Ministry is accomplished and effective only through prayer and supplication. This important and foundational work of the church is the responsibility of all of us who are called in the name of Christ. There are many things we can do to help and support our church but one of the most simple and most powerful things is to uphold the ministry through prayer. Along these lines, we open up this time every Sunday before the services so that a small group of adults to keep the service in prayer. Any adult is welcome. Please join us every Sunday at 10:30am before the worship service in the Fireside room.
